1. Language & Participation Standards
- Communication: The language used will be English. If your child does not speak English, our camp teachers either speak (perhaps limited) Hungarian or there will be a Hungarian-speaking assistant to ensure safety and clear instructions.
- Engagement: Participants are expected to maintain respectful, adequate behaviour throughout the term of the camp.
- Health and hygiene: every child must be able to use the restroom facilities independently.
2. Safety & Prohibited Actions
To maintain a secure environment, the following are strictly forbidden:
- Hazardous Items: Bringing any materials that could cause physical harm or tools capable of starting a fire.
- Unauthorised Departure: Leaving the camp premises without a camp teacher’s permission or wandering away from a group during lessons.
- Recording Devices: Wearing glasses equipped with cameras for image or audio recording.
- Jewelry: For safety during physical activities, jewelry must not be worn during sports.
- Severe Misconduct: Fighting, causing harm, or acting as a danger to particpants or staff is considered a severe offence.
3. Health & Well-being
- Medical Declarations: Parents must disclose any chronic illnesses, allergies, or dietary sensitivities during registration.
- On-Site Support: We provide only first-aid throughout the duration of the camp.
- Emergency Reporting: Participants must immediately alert a staff member to any accidents, fires, or hazards they witness.
- Sun Safety: We strongly recommend that participants bring a baseball cap and sunscreen to protect against heat-related risks.
4. Facilities, Food & Dress Code
- Property Care: Participants are responsible for the building and equipment. Any intentional damage or loss of rented items must be reimbursed by the responsible party.
- Meals: The fee includes lunch each day and constant access to drinking water. Participants are advised to take a reusable water bottle and snacks each day.
- Attire: Clothing must be age-appropriate for a children’s camp; items with offensive language or revealing styles are prohibited.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
| Situation | Policy Detail |
| Early Cancellation | Full refunds are available for any reason if requested by 17:00 CET no later than two weeks before the camp begins, subject to a HUF 10,000 fee for administrative costs. See the Application Form for the complete and up-to-date information. |
| Late Cancellation | Requests made after the deadline will not be refunded. |
| Illness/Quarantine | If a participant becomes ill during the camp, no refund will be issued. |
| Legal Changes | Adjustments made due to public health or legal instructions do not qualify for extraordinary refunds. |
6. Disciplinary Actions
Hello Lingo reserves the right to implement the following for behavioural issues:
- Activity Suspension: Temporary exclusion from specific classes if a participant is aggressive or disruptive.
- Expulsion: Serious or repeat offenses may result in expulsion without a refund. Parents must then arrange immediate transportation home at their own expense.
- Future Restrictions: We may deny future registration to any participant previously sanctioned for behavioural misconduct.
7. General Administration
- Staffing: Hello Lingo specialises in providing native-English teachers. Such teachers may not speak Hungarian. A Hungarian-speaking assistant will be on-site to assist with the camp.
- Privacy: All parent-provided data is handled confidentially and never shared with third parties.
- Legal: Any issues not explicitly covered here are governed by the venue’s internal policy or the Civil Code of Hungary.
